We're so honoured to be part of the most anticipated wedding of the year, where our stunning Chloe Rose tied the knot in the breath-taking scenery of Sorrento, Italy. Adding to the magic, Chloe Rose and her bridesmaids were adorned in a collection that we had the joy of creating together. The
Chloe Rose Edit that was designed by Chloe for her wedding day was influenced by the
Mediterranean lifestyle as we incorporated beautiful Linen's and broderie cottons - which matched the scenery to the tea! Lets take a deep dive into Chloe's thoughts and top tips of her incredible day!
1. Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?
Rather than a classic fairytale beginning, our love story began as many modern ones do— with a simple swipe right and a match on Hinge in the early months of 2019. Fast forward to winter of 2022 a day before my birthday Chris proposed in New York, to which we started planning our dream wedding in Italy for May 2024. Chris is all about the finance and logistics of things and I am the creative in the relationship. We have such different professions but strangely it works, we bounce off each other and are each others biggest supporters.
2. Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details
We got married at Villa Astor in Sorrento, Italy. We visit the Amalfi Coast regularly and have always loved it, so one summer I was in Sorrento with my family and was sitting out on the solarium and I was looking up at the villa, situated on the edge of a cliff. I turned to my parents and said “If I was to ever get married, I would want to get married there”. Little did I know, Chris had enquired about that exact venue just before he proposed later that year— it was fate. So we leant into the beauty of the Italian heritage of our venue and kept is classic and sophisticated with my favourite details being the beautiful sculptures and the rustic details within my florals and urns.
3. How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?
The morning was one of my favourite parts of the whole day as soon as I entered the villa I felt goosebumps. We slept apart the night before the wedding to keep to tradition so I had a sleepover with my sister in our Meeka PJ's to which we met my bridesmaids and mom at the venue in the morning in their matching sets. We spent the morning laughing, reminiscing and it felt so special wearing the PJ's and robe I had designed with MEEKA, along with a glass of bubbles to calm the nerves and blasting and dancing away to one of my favourite songs with the girls before walking down the aisle. We also left each other notes the morning of the wedding, messages of assurance that gave me comfort.
4. Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day
My wedding dress was a timeless, chic, and traditional in a Pronovias dress with a different modern twist. I bespoke the dress slightly adding a slit and detachable bow to make it more me. I loved the softer cream of the Mikado material, and how it worked with my skin tone. I paired the dress with a waterfall trim veil which also featured a Mikado finish, and Amina Muaddi courts. I then later changed into my second look which was a two piece skirt and bodice designed by Half Penny.
5. What items or services do you recommend saving or splurging on?
We splurged on the venue itself along with the catering as we loved the location of Sorrento and tradition of Italian food. Then along with the florals which made it all look so beautiful, bringing it together with all the little details even down to the personalised notes for each of our guests laid out on the tablescapes.
6. Any advice you would like to give to future brides?
Don't sweat the small details and get to wrapped up just remember to take a moment for yourself and also together to soak it all in on the day.
