Holly & Matt's wedding at Clockbarn was full of love and thoughtful details. From their pandemic meet-cute to a magical spring day, every moment felt personal—from Holly wearing our stunning Chloe Rose Pj's while her bridesmaids shine in the Camillo, to a beautiful, detailed and thoughtful theme. They skipped the traditional cake idea for love sweets and shared beautiful personal moments before saying “I do.” Their advice: slow down, soak it in, and enjoy every second. let's have a look:

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?

Our names are Matt and Holly, we met nearly 5 years ago in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We both worked for a professional football club, in different departments and had caught each other's eye. Matt asked me out on a date so with masks in hand we went to play mini golf and haven't looked back since. We are both very organised and love a spreadsheet, Matt now works in events whilst I studied it at uni. We love spending our weekends amongst family, friends and the countryside. We have recently become dog parents to a gorgeous cockapoo called Delilah.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favorite details

Our wedding was held at Clockbarn, Tufton Warren on 9th April 2025. We fell in love with the venue straight away and thought it represented us perfectly as a couple. The colour theme and styling was champagne neutrals with a nod to spring softness. We were very conscious we wanted all everything to compliment the already beautiful features of the barn, such as the amazing wooden beams. We had an incredible florist so we really let the flowers do the talking, with the direction being a just picked, slightly wild feel.

How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?

Clock barn has a stunning bridal prep suite called the Stables. Myself and my small bridal party spent the morning there, sipping mimosas and being pampered by our very talented hair stylist and make up artist. We gave ourselves lots of time in the morning and had a clear schedule, which meant we weren't rushing when it was nearly time to walk down the aisle. Matt and I wrote each other letters to read on the wedding morning, which was a really lovely thing to have and an opportunity to express how we felt privately, before making our vows in front of everyone. I also found focussing on one thing at a time and taking everything step to step helpful to combat nerves.  All the hard work was done by the time the wedding came around so my mantra was to just be as present as possible and enjoy it.

Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day (including  your morning outfits)

For the wedding morning, I wore the gorgeous Chloe Rose Pajama Set and Chloe Rose Maxi Robe, it was the perfect combination of being so pretty but also good quality light weight fabric that meant I wasn't going to get hot and flustered when we were blessed with amazing sunshine or if the nerves hit. I gifted my three bridesmaids and Mum the Camillo Bubble Wrap Mini Robe in a beautiful dusky blue, I chose this colour as I wanted my bridal party to double up as my something blue. I hung the robes on hangers with pictures of me and the person in the bridal party, instead of name tags. Most of the photos were very old so ticked my something old too. I then got into a beautiful Jenny Yoo gown called 'Beau' it had detachable sleeves and a stunning flowered jacquard print. I still go a bit gooey eyes thinking about how much I love the dress now. My bridesmaids wore blush maxi gowns from Pretty Lavish.

What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?

Matt and I decided we didn't want a wedding cake, it just didn't align with what we wanted and we decided we'd prefer to provide our own pick n mix station instead as we love sweets. We also used a Go Pro to film parts of our wedding, having a friend record the speeches and another ask guests questions. I was a little unsure about doing this at first but watching the footage back, I am so glad we did, its amazing and feels really fun.

Any advice you would like to give to future brides

Try to carve out as much time as you can on the day to spend with your Bride/Groom and take a moment to take everything in. We spent 5 minutes together in a little room after the ceremony and it was so lovely to have that moment before we went to greet our guests. Use your wedding planning as a way to get your friends and family together, I turned bridesmaids dress try ons into dinner parties for them and my auntie and Mum and it was a lovely way to include everyone in the lead up to the big day.
