We are so honored to share the story of Olivia & Ryan’s enchanting Tuscan wedding—a celebration of love that’s been over a decade in the making. Olivia looked stunning in her classic, romantic gown as she prepared to say “I do” amid the rolling hills of Castello di Bibbione. With her bridesmaids in the elegant Chiara robes with feathers. The day was a perfect blend of timeless charm and personal touches. From the first look that stole their breath away to the unforgettable celebration with family and friends, every detail captured the magic of their love story. Let’s take a closer look:

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?

Our story began when we were just 16, introduced by a mutual friend at a festival in our home town. It truly felt like love at first sight, 12 years later here we are - we’ve been inseparable ever since!  Ryan proposed on our 10-year anniversary in Paris. It was the most magical moment and such a beautiful way to celebrate everything we’ve shared so far. People often ask how we've stayed together from such a young age, and the truth is, we've grown with each other. We’re always each other’s biggest supporters. We’ve always given one another the space to evolve individually and follow our own paths, while continuing to grow as a couple.

One of our favourite things to do together is travel - we love exploring new places, which is how our love for Italy began as it was one of the first places we travelled together.

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details

We chose Castello di Bibbione, nestled in the beautiful Tuscan hills as our wedding venue. Italy has always held a special place in our hearts, when it came to choosing where to get married, it felt like the most natural and meaningful choice.

We were drawn to the classic, rustic, and romantic charm of the venue. We wanted somewhere that felt authentic to the Italian countryside but also allowed us to celebrate all weekend long with our closest friends and family. Having everyone stay on-site turned the wedding into a beautiful getaway and made the whole experience feel even more special.

How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?

We stayed together the night before the wedding - I just knew I’d sleep best with Ryan there, and it felt like the most natural, comforting thing. On the morning of the big day, we had coffee and breakfast together, then took a little walk around the venue grounds. It was such a special moment to pause and take everything in before the day really began.

After that, Ryan headed off to get ready with the groomsmen, and the bridal party and our mums came over to start the getting-ready fun. We all wore our beautiful personalised Meeka gowns, had our favourite girly tunes playing, and just soaked up the morning together.

Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day

I’ve actually lost count of how many wedding dresses I tried on, at least 40! I was really unsure at first; there are so many beautiful dresses out there, and I felt the pressure to find the perfectone. Then I discovered the brand Chosen by Khya, and finally found my dream dress.

I hadn’t planned on wearing a “princess” dress, but I thought if not now, when else would I get the chance? It was timeless, classic, and chic - everything I wanted in a dress. I paired the dress with Amina Muaddi block-heeled shoes, which were perfect for walking down the grassy aisle during the ceremony.

We got ready in our Meeka Chiara feather gowns, they felt so luxurious and the bridesmaids loved the personalisations, something extra special.

For the evening, I changed into a sparkly corset mini dress by Rosie Etienne Bridal, paired with Jimmy Choo heels. And for the night-before party, I wore a long, silky dress with draped feathers from Cult Gaia - something elegant but fun to kick off the celebrations.

What items or services do you recommend saving or splurging on?

If there’s one thing we’d recommend splurging on, it’s your videographer, photographer, and a content creator - these are the people who capture your day so you can relive it for a lifetime. The day goes by in a flash, and having beautiful memories preserved is truly priceless.

We chose Lucy Henzell as our photographer after admiring her incredible work. We flew her out to Italy with a second shooter (Francesca Bravo) to make sure every special moment was captured. Our videographer, Stefano Pompeii, was equally amazing, capturing the emotion and energy of the day perfectly.

We’re also big foodies, so having great food was super important to us. We chose Roland’s, a highly recommended caterer in Tuscany, and the food was absolutely delicious. We stuck to a traditional Italian menu, and one thing our guests kept commenting on was how amazing the food was, it’s definitely something guests will remember!

Any advice you would like to give to future brides?

One of the best pieces of advice I can give is to stay close to your partner throughout the day. It’s so easy to get swept up in conversations and moments with guests, but at the end of the day, it’s about the two of you - so make sure you spend the majority of it together. You’ll be so glad you did when you look back.

Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. I can be a bit of a Type A, super-organised person, so handing over responsibility wasn’t easy - but there’s so much going on across the weekend, and it’s impossible to do it all yourself. Your friends, bridesmaids, and family want to help, so let them! Spreading out tasks really does make everything feel less overwhelming and way more enjoyable.

On that note, make sure you have a detailed timeline that your bridesmaids, groomsmen, and planner all have access to - what’s happening when, who’s responsible, what’s needed at each point of the day. I put this together ahead of time and it helped so much over the weekend. It made everything run smoothly and meant I could actually relax and enjoy the day.
