MEEKA goes to Florida.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?
I’m Kaylen, I’m a wedding day content creator and my husband Danny is in the United States Air Force. We are both 22 years old and have been together since we were 17, seniors in high school! We are both from Florida, but we currently live in Mississippi as he recently got stationed here. After high school, we did 4 years of long distance while he attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado, we got engaged in November 2021, planned our wedding while 1400 miles apart, and got married 2 weeks after he graduated, back home in Florida in June 2023. We both love the beach, our puppy Duncan, and spending time together as we have spent enough time apart these past 4 years! Lol.

Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day
The morning of our wedding, I wore a satin slip dress underneath my MEEKA Isabella Frill Wrap Over Robe. Honestly, I am so happy with my choice to get the long robe. It felt so elegant, and comfortable as well! My bridesmaids wore the Camillo Bubble Wrap robes from MEEKA and they were OBSESSED. Lightweight, breathable, and most importantly, can be worn many times after the wedding day! My wedding gown was by Maggie Sottero, and it was a fitted, stark white, shimmery gown. I absolutely adored the train. Later into the reception, I changed into a dress from Jay Kay Braids and Bridal that I had altered to be a mini dress. It was made of tulle with pearls, and it was so comfortable and girly which is exactly what I was looking for to dance in all night!
What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?
Honestly, I don’t believe I regret any money spent on an item/service from our wedding! Every penny spent was so worth it because we had an absolute blast, and our guests did as well! Items/services that were especially worth the money was the open bar, food and florals! People still talk about how great the food and drinks were, and there was no way I was going small with florals! They truly change a space!
Any advice you would like to give to future brides?
