We are so happy to be a part of yet another wedding. The beautiful bride, Laura, showed off in our Diana Bridal Set & her bridesmaids in our Camillo robes.
We caught up with Laura to find out more about her beautiful day in Amares, Portugal.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, and what is unique about you and your relationship.

My now-husband and I met at university, and have been together for almost 10 years. We are best friends and through the years, have grown and changed by each other's sides. But, we've also remained connected due to the solid groundwork we've built over this time, our deep alignment in values and ambitions, and our appreciation for each other's outlook on life. In terms of what we do, he is an entrepreneur and I work in tech!

How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding? Any tips for future brides?

We decided not to stay in the same room the night before the wedding, so as to build up even more anticipation for my walk down the aisle! He spent his morning with his friends, playing a very competitive football game, which I had the pleasure of sneakily watching from the hotel window! I, on the other hand, spent my morning surrounded by friends and my mother and sister... all getting ready together, listening to Spotify's top 'wedding prep' playlist, and taking some photos for the wonderful Meeka brand! In terms of tips, I would recommend not leaving some of the 'last-minute' activities to the l! Make sure everyone is ready as early as possible, so you don't need to stress about the time when you come to take photos!

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling, and some of your favorite details.

Our wedding was hosted at the Pousada Mosteiro de Amares in Portugal. The day could not have been more perfect, the weather more stunning and the guests more excited! Because of the natural, raw beauty of the venue we really didn't need or want to add too much more to its styling. We kept our theme elegant but very minimalist, with lots of white flowers and some orange accents because of the orange trees dotted throughout the venue. One of the most special touches of the decoration was our 'Generations of Love' table, where we framed photos of all the various couples in our family (i.e. grandparents, parents, siblings). People loved the sentiment behind this, and through it, we were also able to be with relatives who could not be at the wedding.

Talk us through your main outfits of the wedding day.

The day before the wedding, we hosted a welcome evening which was a 'white party! Everyone was required to come dressed in white, and I wore a Nadine Merabi white pantsuit. It was a hit! On the day, as I got ready I wore the full Meeka Diana Dobby set - a beautiful bralette and shorts, with a matching robe. My bridesmaids all wore the Camillo robes. Honestly, they all looked fabulous! For the wedding, I wore the Yang by Liz Martinez wedding dress and for the party, I changed into a more comfortable, sleek Michael Lo Sordo dress.

Looking back is there anything that you wish you hadn’t done, or perhaps an item you wish you hadn’t bought?

Honestly, no! It was truly a perfect weekend and even the things that didn't go to plan ended up just contributing to the uniqueness of the memories.

What was your most special moment on the day?

Walking down the aisle with both my parents, and seeing my husband Antonio waiting for me!
