We took to the gorgeous Farmhouse of the Palms to shoot our very first MEEKA collection! Farmhouse of the Palms is a traditional ‘quinta’ in São Brás de Alportel, Algarve which is over 200 years old. As soon as you drive into the Quinta, the most breath-taking feature is the 180-degree panoramic views of the surrounding Algarvian mountains. The B&B is nestled on the hill top of the Cerro do Botelho hill. Just far enough away from the commercial hub of Faro that it makes it ideal for people looking for a little peace and tranquillity, but close enough for those looking to venture out for more excitement!
The owners Frank and Veronique carefully and lovingly restored the quinta bit by bit and the result is a beautiful house combining modern interior with Mediterranean vintage features. From the black mosaic tiles in the swimming pool, which emulates the Portuguese sea, to the cork ornaments; white plastered walls and Moroccan inspired chimney spires, the overall look & feel makes for a unique ambiance of typical Portuguese mixed with bohemian personal touches.
The farmhouse consists of 7 gorgeous modern suites, all of which are completely different and have their own character! The rooms are decorated using natural elements like wood, natural stone and white colour to inspire tranquillity.
The focal point of the farmhouse is the incredible 12m x 6m pool that is the perfect temperature to cool off. The pool is also surrounded by loungers, aswell as the most magnificent day-bed that is perfect for those ‘Instagram shots’.
With the farmhouse being only a 15km drive from Faro airport, and only a 2.5-hour flight from London – you have to make this your next stay!
