Meeka goes to Hawaii!

The gorgeous Lindsey chose to say "I do" in Hawaii & it was nothing short of magical.

Tell us a little about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us about the setting, the styling & some of your favourite details.

I went for a minimalist, airy feel. We got married in beautiful Hawaii so the last thing we wanted to do was distract from the scenery. We choose to say “I do” on the beach, enjoy cocktails at the surf shack, and head to a private lawn to enjoy our meal and dance the night away! My favorite detail was my 70ft aisle made up of babies breath flowers. Our guests fully embraced the sand and it was just so perfect.

Tell us a little about your main outfits for the wedding day.

We went with Meeka robes and a two-piece for me, the bride. I wanted something airy that the girls could wear again since we are sustainably motivated as a couple. Although it was more of an investment, I don’t regret it for a second. The girls still wear them to this day! I then wore an Alexandra Grecco gown that was minimalist and so comfortable. I absolutely adored wearing something classic, that fit my body in all the right ways and made me feel beautiful. I then changed into another wedding gown that is by Scout Bridal. I wanted to feel sexy after the cocktail hour without changing into a short dress. I searched relentlessly for an open back with a slash in the back, and I finally found the perfect dress.

Any advice you would like to give to future brides & best money spent?

I would focus on your food, open bar (hehe!), and flowers. Oh, and all your outfits because it is YOUR day and you deserve to feel your absolute best. I am a sucker for the little details but if something were to happen the day of, the guest experience would not be affected. Keep reminding yourself that the day is about you so prioritize what will ensure the best experience for you and your soon-to-be hubby.
