We are so thrilled that we got to go behind the scenes of this beautiful English countryside wedding based in the gorgeous Cotswolds.
Brittany and her bridesmaids wore our bestselling Camillo nude and white robe for the morning of - which went perfectly with with the aesthetic of her countryside wedding.
Here is a little more detail of Brittany and Mike's magical day:

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship?

I’m Brit, and my new hubby is called Mike. We are northerners from Manchester and have lived together in London for the last 8 years. Mike manages the Global Talent Team at Just Eat and I’m an interior designer working at an architects practice in Camden.
We both like to focus on health and wellbeing, enjoying the gym, pilates, yoga - anything to get the body moving!
I think the uniqueness of our relationship is that we really are best friends we were best friends before we started dating 13 years go which gave us a solid foundation for our happy, loving relationship. We love traveling and life experiences but are equally just as happy sat on the sofa in our flat watching a films with some treats :)

Tell us about your special day, was there a specific theme or style? Tell us a little about the setting, the styling and some of your favourite details

Our wedding was at Primrose Hill Farm, Oxfordshire. We always had our hearts set on getting married in the Cotswolds as, living in London, we wanted to get out the City and have the beautiful English countryside as the setting for our special day.
Our vision was to embrace the English Countryside but with a modern twist. Primrose Hill Farm was the ideal location for our wedding as it had a perfect blend between farmhouse and modern aesthetics. We loved the black stained timber cladding and the endless glass windows of the dining barn in particular.
The florals were fresh and neutral, white flowers with lots of green foliage celebrating the English countryside and meadows that reflected the beautiful surrounding Cotswolds. The neutral palette continued through the bridesmaid's dresses which were different tones of champagne adding a refined, elevated juxtaposition to a country wedding when paired with the black-tie suits.
All of the details from the table scaping, to the stationary had a handmade quality about them. All the ceramic candleholders were individually hand crafted and coloured in earthy tones and the stationary place names were all hand written too.

How did you spend the morning of your wedding? How did you deal with the nerves leading up to the wedding?

I got ready at the venue with my mum mother in law, sister in law and 4 beautiful bridesmaids. we really did have the best morning ever! I was surprisingly calm (I was a very stressy bride all the way up to a few days before) but on the day everything just melted away it was strange because everyone used to say that to me and i wouldn't believe them but it really does ! We had beautiful prep rooms at Primrose hill farms, we had our own little barn with a kitchen and a bathroom and a large area for glam, there were large glass doors opening out on some of the land and it was lovely and sunny so in between glam we would stand outside and sip some champagne. We immediately got into our Meeka robes and all of my loved ones loved them! The morning really does go by so quickly but we had the best morning when i got into my dress the nerves hit me (only slightly) we blasted Spice girls.... the girl power was just want I needed before I Walked down the aisle :)

Tell us about your main outfits of the wedding day

My wedding dress was by Danielle Frankel, I came across her years before my wedding and I always knew I wanted to wear one of her designs. We got engaged in Feb 2022 and luckily there was a Danielle Frankel trunk show happening the weekend after in London. Our mums came down to London to come to the trunk show with me where I tried on five of her dresses and I was convinced I had found the one.
After the Trunk show Danielle Frankel luckily started to stock at Browns Bride London so I was able to try on the dress again along with a few of her other designs. It was then where I fell in love with another one of her dresses as I felt it was better suited to the season we were getting married. My dream wedding shoes were Aquazzura.
Mike and the groomsmen were in black-tie to make the day feel extra special for them. Mike had his suit made to measure by Richard James on Saville Row. They were amazing throughout and the suit looked so unique with an ink blue, velvet jacket that changed colour depending on the lighting.

What items or services did you think were a waste of money? VS what are you so glad you splurged on?

We felt card printed invitations were a waste of money so we opted for a wedding website instead, completely paperless, saves more and also good for the environment.
I wouldn't really call it a splurge but we were lucky enough to be able to do a day two party which we are so happy we did. Our wedding was in the Cotswolds so many people were traveling from Manchester and London to get there, which is why wanted to a two day event. The wedding day really goes by so quickly so to make a weekend of it like we did was the best decision we made. Our day two party was a garden party with a cocktail bar paella van photo booth and a stretched tent dancefloor with accompanied DJ booth.

Any advice you would like to give to future brides

I know if sounds obvious but really don't sweat the small stuff.... on the day you will really not notice anything apart from the love in the room! I was a very particular bride planning everything myself right down to the table setting and got myself so stressed pre wedding but on the day nobody looks at those little things, everyone is there to celebrate you.
